After ArtSKey starting in the right-bottom corner of HPC screen the symbol "En" will appear. It means that program is started and the current keyboard layout is English.

For switching to the alternative keyboard layout, press and release Ctrl and Shift simultaneously, in the right-bottom corner of HPC screen the symbol "Alt" will appear (or your national language symbol).

For entering the symbols being absent on the keyboard, press and hold Ctrl + Shift and enter numerals a code of a symbol, then release Ctrl-Shift.

For example: To enter the "Copyright" symbol with the code 169:

• press and hold the "Ctrl-Shift";
• type "1";
• type "6";
• type "9";
• release the "Ctrl-Shift".

Symbol will appear on the screen (you should enter UNICODE of the symbol).

Note that there is no need to enter thereby symbols of your alphabet, necessary keyboard layout easy to define in the artskey.ini file.

• press and hold the "Ctrl-Shift";
• type "d";
• release the "Ctrl-Shift".

Date stamp will appear on the screen.

• press and hold the "Ctrl-Shift";
• type "6";
• release the "Ctrl-Shift".

Time stamp will appear on the screen.
You can define your favorite date and time stamp formats and keys in artskey.ini file.

For Calculator quick launching:

• press and hold the "Ctrl-Shift";
• type "c";
• release the "Ctrl-Shift".

You can launch Pocket Word with key '1';
Pocket Excel with key '2';
Calendar with key '3';
Contacts with key '4';
Tasks with key '5';
Connect to PC with key '9';
Solitare game with key '0';
Also you can define another launches in section launches of ini - file.

For entering text:

• press and hold the "Ctrl-Shift";
• type key defined for text in ini-file;
• release the "Ctrl-Shift".
